Pull the tape measure slightly so that is feels comfortable. Or use a belt and close it as you would normally, and measure the belt.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ewhen measuring for a waistcoat don't pull it, just let it lay flat. A waistcoat should have 2 cm extra; it should be fitted but not pulling\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ewhen measuring for a jacket look at the body measurements in the size chart.
