This 1940s style Ike jacket is made after an original 1940s pattern in medium weight Shetland wool grey with blue plaid checks. The fabric is 100% wool, not too heavy, and nice and souple. It is perfect in between fabric. This iconic model was the basis for many workwear items such as the British army battle dress. this is an excellent jacket for a casual vintage style look. The jacket has many vintage details like pleated shoulders, under arm gusset for extra ease, a typical 1940s collar and a pleated back. Please note: This version is lined with silver taffeta with small harlequin checks
