Women’s High Waist Linen Trousers – 1930s Style, Wide Leg, Pleated Front

ITEM DESCRIPTION
These women’s suit trousers are inspired by a 1930s men’s pattern and adapted for a feminine fit. They feature a wide leg, pleated front, very high waist, fishtail back, and a classic buckle-back adjustment.
After many requests, I have created a ladies’ version of my signature men’s high waist trousers. The only changes made are to the hip-to-waist ratio and the length — all other details remain true to the original design.
The trousers are made from high-quality linen with a beautiful weight and drape. The fabric feels soft and comfortable to wear. Please note that linen naturally wrinkles when worn; this is part of its authentic character.
This style is often chosen as an alternative to a traditional wedding dress, especially for civil ceremonies or couples looking for a more tailored, timeless look, and can easily be worn again in a more casual way.
Details include generous side-seam pockets, two welted back pockets, a small front watch pocket with button and strap, and a zip closure with hook and eye.

STYLING
These trousers can be worn with a waistcoat and jacket (a matching waistcoat will be available soon), or styled more casually with a blouse or simple knit sweater. They can be worn with or without suspenders.
For a classic look, pair them with a white blouse and gloves, or go for a full Marlene-style outfit with a jacket and cap.
SIZING INFORMATION
Sizes are EU standard and fall between French and German sizing. UK sizes are shown in the size chart.
Please use your body measurements to choose the closest size. The waist measurement is most important, as the pleated cut allows room for the hips and shapes the silhouette.
The trouser length can be adjusted to your preference. There is plenty of fabric in the turn-ups for alterations. It is best to have someone help pin the length while you are wearing them.
Measure your waist high on the body, just below the ribs. Use a measuring tape, cord, or belt adjusted to your preferred fit.
